— Christmas gifts
It can be daunting to think up creative client Christmas gifts. For those of us living in the Southern Hemisphere, Christmas is warm, not cold. We’re having relaxed Summer holidays, not Winter chills. The traditional imagery of snowflakes, candlelight and red fluffy hats doesn’t make sense.
Over the last ten years, we’ve designed quite a few Christmas gifts. Here are a few ideas to get you thinking creatively, from simple cards to elaborate productions.
1. Desk calendar
The gift that keeps giving for a year. Make it a theme that your client will love and they’ll be reminded of you for the next 12 months.
In the calendar below, two friendly pixelated characters remind us that ‘it’s okay’ to have good and bad days, to feel like shutting out the world occasionally, and that ever super heros need downtime.
2. Cocktail recipe coasters
Letterpress printed on a heavy, cotton-rich paper to avoid spills.
The green/red colour combination is subtle, but it still feels Christmas-y.
3. Tea towels & film puns
Celebrating two of our favourite things: A night at the cinema & typographic puns.
A tribute to classic 1990s films : Neil Jordan’s The Crying Game & Gus Van Sant’s To Die For
4. Letter cards
Choose-your-own from a range of decorative letter cards.
Small in size, big in impact.
5. Colourful wall calendar
White icons highlight favourite holidays, sporting events, dates to remember and cultural celebrations.
Printed at 2400 dots-per-inch for stunning colour reproduction.
6. Double-sided wrapping paper
Christmas on one side. Party on the other = wrapping paper suitable for any occasion.
Re-usable, environmentally friendly, easy to post.
7. A simple card
Get straight to the point. A clear message, with a touch of wit and a load of personality.
Pick a matching envelope for exceptional first impressions.
