Who knew there is a rule for such things?
Turns out, in English, adjectives should be in this order: opinion-size-age-shape-colour-origin-
material-purpose noun.
So you can have a ’lovely little old rectangular green Spanish silver jewelry box’. But a ‘rectangular silver Spanish old little lovely jewelry green box’ sounds downright weird.
