After 3 years of printing the DRIVENxDESIGN Design program Annuals, they felt it was time for a change.
The original cover design was based on a blueprint version of the award trophy. We wanted to keep this graphic element in some form, but bring some new excitement to each of the award program annuals.

PIECE BY PIECE
Taking apart the trophy yielded a creative solution – putting the pieces back together in a myriad of ways allowed the central element to break out of its existing constraints, into a series of new formations.
COLOUR
Building on the existing palette, additional colours were added to central motif. The cover designs became more dynamic and engaging, whilst still retaining each city’s signature background colour.
Colour palette
Careful consideration was paid when choosing each individual city’s signature colour.
The pay-off can be seen when lining up the whole set of design award annuals – pleasing to anyone who organises their bookshelf or book stacks in order of colour and form.
