The Redmond Barry Society encourages supporters of State Library Victoria to consider leaving a gift in their Wills. An inaugural Redmond Barry Society Dinner was planned to re-launch the society to Library members and friends.

Apart from a basic logo, the society had no branding or materials to work with. The event would re-launch the society. It needed to be perceived as premium, and distinct from the Library’s other events.
Creating a new look and feel from scratch was the solution. Ideally, something that would build a brand for the society and its associated annual events.
The existing logo consisted of three lines of black text. In addition, badges had been produced, featuring the logo enclosed in an octagon shape.
Using these simple elements as a starting point, we created a series of patterns based on the octagon, overlaying them on an image of the Library’s Reading Room ceiling. These patterns become the hero element in the invitation and carried through all the event collateral.
